Controls Technician


Provide support and upgrades for electrical systems within the facility. Plan and improve electrical systems and controls jobs for manufacturing processes. Gather data to design systems, design equipment, procure materials, and work with vendors and subcontractors to complete projects. Works in conjunction with the Engineering Technician to achieve controls project goals and personal development.

Required License/ Certification Registration:

  • Valid Driver's License

Working Conditions/ Equipment:

  • Combination of office and manufacturing setting regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise with some heavy lifting- moving equipment up to 100 lbs.
  • Occasional overnight air travel

  • Post-Secondary Education in Industrial Technology or related field
  • 2-5 years in electronic design with electronic circuit technology assembly processes
  • Electrical engineering design principles and methodologies
  • Experience with contractual related project work
  • Experience working with analog circuit simulation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software (AutoCAD preferred)
  • Analytical, mathematical, and other quantitative skills
  • Ability to read and draw basic mechanical or electrical drawings

Production Shift Supervisor

Quality Supervisor


The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the Petoskey Plastics Corporate Quality Management System (QMS) and conformance to QMS standards ensuring the quality and consistency of the company's products. The position is also responsible for complying with customer quality system requirements and actively keeps abreast of quality programs, systems, trends and tools that could be useful. This position provides work direction for Quality Assurance Technicians.

Required License/ Certification Registration:

  • Valid Driver's License

Experience:

  • Supervisor for 1 year (preferred)

  • Associate's degree in specialized area of study; experienced in quality management system use and monitoring
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to implement quality tools: Pareto, SPC, control charts, FMEA, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills to present to customers
  • Able to work in a team environment, and effectively manage associates
  • Strong MS Office and ERP systems knowledge
  • Commitment to quality work and continuous improvement activities
  • Technical ability/knowledge relating to quality processes. ISO, FDA, TS, etc.
  • Demonstrated problem solving in a team environment
  • Customer interaction and visits - focus on working with customers in a negotiation or problem solving setting
  • Ability to work cooperatively with the other facilities knowing we have one system for all plants

Material Handler


The Material Handler is responsible for staging and moving raw material and finished goods to and from loading docks, storage and warehouse areas. This individual will load and unload shipments according to documentation and work procedures as well as participate in inventory processes.

Line Operator Trainee


The Line Operator Trainee will be responsible for running one line while undergoing training on additional equipment in the department. They will also be required to anticipate job changes and assist line operators and technicians at change over with stringing the line, pulling plastic and other tasks as necessary.

Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, every other weekend and overtime, as required.
