Vice President of Retail Sales & Marketing

Petoskey Plastics is seeking an experienced and dynamic senior level sales professional for the position of VP of Retail Sales and Marketing. This key position in the company will be responsible for developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to achieve company revenue and profitability goals while earning the appreciation and respect of our customers, associates and communities. This positon reports to the Executive Vice President and is a key member of the Executive and Strategic planning teams driving a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. This position will mentor direct reports and develop a strong team through effective communication and accountability to KPI’s.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Recommend new products/product improvements
  • Manage quoting process and trade show attendance
  • Continuously use financial data to identify, improve, replace or eliminate low margin business
  • Develop and utilize marketing tools and assets to communicate Petoskey’s advantages to customers, prospects and markets

  • MBA preferred
  • Provide leadership to the Retail Sales team
  • Identify new strategic accounts, sell and close new business in concert with Sales Managers
  • Budgeting, forecasting, expense controlling, incentive planning, cost savings
  • Understand competitor strengths and weaknesses
  • Train Sales associates on sales activities including cold calling, phone surveys, appointment setting, conducting well-structured sales calls

Line Operator Trainee

The Line Operator Trainee will be responsible for running two lines while undergoing training on additional equipment in the department. They will also be required to anticipate job changes and assist line operators and technicians at change over with stringing the line, pulling plastic and other tasks as necessary.

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read production schedule, work order and work procedures in English
  • Commitment to safety and quality
  • Prior manufacturing experience
  • Capable of stringing an extrusion or contour line

Sales Coordinator

The Sales Coordinator is the primary liaison between Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing and the customer. This position is responsible for receiving, processing and following orders through to receipt of the product by the satisfied customer. The Sales Coordinator also manages customer inventory requirements, returns and adjustments regarding pricing and order errors, and is kept informed on product costing and sales quotations.
