Human Resources Intern

Petoskey Plastics is looking for a driven Human Resources Intern to join our Hartford City team! Material Handler

The Material Handler is responsible for staging and moving raw material and finished goods to and from loading docks, storage and warehouse areas. This individual will load and unload shipments according to documentation and work procedures as well as participate in inventory processes.


  • 2 Year Technical Degree and/or 5 years industrial manufacturing equipment maintenance experience
  • Mechanical, electrical, blue print reading, hydraulic, pneumatics, arc welding

Maintenance Tech

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of plastic extrusion manufacturing equipment required to wash scrap plastic wrap, extrude plastic resins, blow film, fold sheeting, punch, and wind finished products into plastic film and bags. This Maintenance Technician position will perform equipment repairs as requested and prioritized by management, working on PLCs, and recording all work activities in work order module of the computerized maintenance management system. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain machines and plant facility’s electrical systems and controls for the manufacturing process.


  • High school diploma; college degree preferred
  • PE blown film experience preferred
  • 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing
  • Experience in coaching and performance management
  • Demonstrated ability to meet quantitative metrics
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Continuous improvement experience

Production Shift Manager

The Production Shift Manager is responsible for safely manufacturing quality products through the efficient use of manpower, materials, and equipment. The Production Shift Manager directs the activities of the extrusion and converting/printing/recycle departments, promotes safe work practices, maintains production schedules and record keeping , and ensures quality standards are met. This position plans work, makes assignments, assists in the hiring process, trains new employees, and administers company policies consistently.


  • Associate’s degree in specialized area of study; experienced in quality management system use and monitoring
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to implement quality tools: Pareto, SPC, control charts, FMEA, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills to present to customers
  • Able to work in a team environment, and effectively manage associates
  • Strong MS Office and ERP systems knowledge
  • Commitment to quality work and continuous improvement activities
  • Technical ability/knowledge relating to quality processes. ISO, FDA, TS, etc.
  • Demonstrated problem solving in a team environment

Quality Supervisor

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the Petoskey Plastics Corporate Quality Management System (QMS) and conformance to QMS standards ensuring the quality and consistency of the company’s products. The position is also responsible for complying with customer quality system requirements and actively keeps abreast of quality programs, systems, trends and tools that could be useful. This position provides work direction for Quality Assurance Technicians.
